Information for Voting by Proxy at the 2024 Convention

The use of proxies is quite restricted for this year's convention/caucus. The WDP 2024 County Convention Guide specifies that a proxy can only be designated for the following qualified reasons:

  • serving in the military

  • those with disabilities that prevent participation in person

  • religious observance

  • illness preventing participation

  • cannot get off work

  • cannot obtain childcare

Also, a proxy can only be used for the caucus phase of the convention. From the WDP 2024 County Convention Guide:

"A vote on the convention floor for any purpose other than allocating and selecting delegates may not be made by proxy."

So, a proxy holder can not vote for things like the election of the convention chair, county platform, county resolutions, or any other business not specifically related to the caucus phase.

If you qualify, download a Proxy Form.
