Deadline for registered voters to change party affiliation
Due to Wyoming’s new repressive voter law, if you wish to change your party affiliation and vote in the Wyoming Primary on August 20th you must do so by May 15th, before even knowing who will be filing to run for office.
Candidate Filing Period
Candidates running on a major party ballot for Federal office, state legislature, county and municipal office, and precinct committeeperson must file with either the Secretary of State’s office or the County Clerk’s office.

Voter Registration Closes for the Primary
Monday, August 5th is the last day to register to vote in the August 20th Wyoming Primary Election. Register at the Fremont County Courthouse, 450 N. 2nd Street, Lander. Exceptions: You can register in person and vote on election day. You can register in person and cast an absentee ballot August 6-19. Remember, you cannot change political party after May 15!

Fremont County Democratic Convention and Caucus
The Fremont County Democratic Convention and Caucus is an opportunity for all Democrats in the county to meet their fellow Democrats and craft the county platform for 2024. During the presidential caucus portion of the event we will select delegates to the state convention. Doors open at 10 and participants must be inside the meeting room by 11 AM to participate.

The premier event for Wyoming Democrats! Join us for drinks, dinner, and fellow Democrats from across Wyoming. Wyoming boasts the first woman governor in the United States, and yep, she was a Democrat. Let’s celebrate!
FCDP Monthly Meeting
Join us on Saturday, January 27, 2024, for our monthly meeting to discuss local county politics and to make plans for improving Fremont County. The meeting will be at 11:00 AM at the Holiday Inn, Riverton. Please be sure to attend this meeting as we need to replace the Fremont County Democratic Party chair and discuss other important topics as we restart the party and prepare to win back House District 33.
